ICSM Business Haulage Business News: director of property company is also new owner of logistics firm which he is a director of after pre-pack following its collapse into administration
By Harry Mottram: Chris Tindall in Motor Transport has revealed how a waste haulier has been bought out of administration following a pre-pack arranged by Begbies Traynor.
Writing on the trade website he reported: “Wrexham-based 4 Seasons Beer Tent Co, which traded as Ningbo Walking Floors, appointed administrators on 17 January after experiencing financial difficulties. Begbies Traynor said the Covid 19 pandemic was the catalyst for the firm’s problems, which also operated 50 trailers, and that it had experienced ‘significant losses.’”
He continued to report that the pre-packaged deal was arranged with Stockton Property, which saved all 38 jobs and that ‘4 Seasons Beer Tent Co and Stockton Property share the same director, Christopher Stockton.’
The haulier had made a loss last financial year of over a million pounds as it owed the taxman and CBIL loans pushing it into insolvency.
